Sunday, August 3, 2014 - Not a single note here. Huh. This showed up to a party I was hosting and it's been open for a day so it's had a good dose of slow ox. FWIW, the label lists the wine at 14.2%, with 26 Cab, 19 Tempranillo, 19 Franc, 14 Malbec, 8 Touriga Nacional, 8 Verdot, 3 Merlot and 3 Syrah. Quite a blend. Lots of cherry here, currant, even some saddle leather, and from what I suspect is some new wood, some notes of char and chocolate, albeit subtle. This is a medium bodied blend that brings some bright red fruit, moderate ripeness and what to me is good, anchoring acidity. The web site says the wine is $24-$30 a bottle, which seems quite fair.
