Wednesday, May 13, 2020 - Really interesting older wine, very enjoyable. After 4+ hour decant, the nose alternated between earthy, leathery, slightly sherried notes with rich red strawberry and iron. The palate had surprising youth and vivacity, dark cherry fruit, leathery earth, acid and some tannins still. Long long tart finish. Smoky acid great with roast pork shoulder.
