Friday, November 15, 2013 - {screwcap, 14/5%} Coconot, vanilla, eucalypt; this is close to the McLaren Vale shiraz from Central Casting. Big and rich, but with soft acid and rather mild chalky tannins. Ripe blackberry fruits, all warm-climate accented, but with the alcohol seemingly under control, still it's a style I think drinks best fairly young, given the structural deficits and the shortish finish, despite a medium/full-bodied weight.
