Thursday, October 17, 2013 - Filtered transparent garnet color. Tart red fruit, red currant, black cherry. Dry earth, touch of spice from oak. Bright acidity, medium gentle tannins, but simple drinking. Needs food. Good summer red, or pair anytime with lighter pasta, simple cheese and charcuterie.

A step down from this producer's main Il Frappato Sicilia release, simpler and half the price. Not built for aging, carpe diem.
