Thursday, April 25, 2019 - A Diverse Night of Italian Wines (Leonardo's, Solvang, CA): Served blind. A vexing wine to place, as the oak-dominated nose seemed so out of place for Italy. Ripe plum and cherries, spice and chocolate, with a firm acid backbone. I was surprised to see the producer as I would have expected more typicity.
