Thursday, June 26, 2014 - At this stage, I think this wine strikes a perfect balance between the more generous Les Combettes and the more austere Les Clos. From what I understand, they used more new oak for this wine (some years close to 100%), but fear not, this warmer site has enough stuffing to take on the oak. On top of that, cedar, rich caramel notes, tropical fruit notes. Medium plus acidity. Medium plus finish with notes of mineral, stone fruit, etc.
