Saturday, October 29, 2016 - Paired next to the Loring Sierra Mar Chard the differences between these two wines shine through clearly with the benefits of both wines coming into focus. The colors of the two wines are similar: both seem bright and young. The nose here is lanolin, orange blossom, white flower, lemon oil, and lychee. The palate precisely traces the nose. Additional flavors of apple, orange, butter, almond and a finish showing some slight diesel comes through. The finish is very long, much longer than the Loring. 13.5% alc. With herb & pistachio crusted halibut and creamed leeks in the company of Ben Brown and fiancée Courtney. Recommended with a nod toward Highly Recommended.
