  • Oh, that this it my last bottle of this nectar! Such a delicious, complete, full, floral white! A lanolin, white peach, white flower, lemon oil, and lychee all on the nose. The palate is both precise and powerful; not muscular, but incredibly well toned. Flavors of tangerine and butter join the attack with some diesel and anise lingering on the finish. And the finish! It goes on for a long time with orange blossom, anise and lychee. I need to find more of more recent vintages of this wine. 13.5% alc. With grilled lobster tails, and shrimp with remoulade on the side. Recommended with a nod toward Highly Recommended.

  • A nose of lanolin, white flower, lemon oil, and lychee. The palate precisely traces the nose, but with more developed notes and additional flavors of apple, butter, with a finish of both diesel (very light) and anise. The lengthy finish trails forever. 13.5% alc. With chicken cordon bleu. Recommended with a nod toward Highly Recommended.

  • Paired next to the Loring Sierra Mar Chard the differences between these two wines shine through clearly with the benefits of both wines coming into focus. The colors of the two wines are similar: both seem bright and young. The nose here is lanolin, orange blossom, white flower, lemon oil, and lychee. The palate precisely traces the nose. Additional flavors of apple, orange, butter, almond and a finish showing some slight diesel comes through. The finish is very long, much longer than the Loring. 13.5% alc. With herb & pistachio crusted halibut and creamed leeks in the company of Ben Brown and fiancée Courtney. Recommended with a nod toward Highly Recommended.

  • This wine never disappoints and is proving incredible versatility. The deep golden hue looks almost like a yellow apple. Lychee nut, citrus, pear, lanolin, white peach that finishes with white pepper and anise. The wine cuts through the pork’s fat gently, subtly. Nothing etches or scrubs, but more like a gracious invitation to move to another room. A clean, long finish that seems to gently fade away. And as I can’t say enough, this is a terrific QPR. 13% alc. With PMB for a surprise weekend home and a dinner of roasted porcetta pork chops stuffed with lemon, fennel and anise. Recommended with a nod toward Highly Recommended.

Not 3 bottles consumed, just one; but 2 missing from the great comuter crash of 2016 along with 10 months of back ups.
