91 Points

Saturday, July 18, 2015 - Notes made on second day open. 60/40 Syrah-Grenache blend.
Very dark ruby color, almost opaque. Clear, heavy legs and no sediment. 14.1% on label.
Profound bouquet of boysenberry jam, carnations, butterscotch, fresh tar, and a little vegetal/herb mix. Brambly at the pop but that eased off with air. The palate is a pretty standard, hot and ripe Paso profile and despite that, I think the abundance of fruit portends that this should develop into something really nice in a few years. Was certainly more enjoyable on the second night. 5+12+15+9=91
