Friday, April 25, 2014 - I liked it, others in the tasting group did not. It has a very slightly oxidative characteristic. The wine smelled better to me than it tasted. Notes of pear and apple, subtle red fruit, brioche on the bouquet. The mouthfeel was good, with aggressive bubbles but nice acidity and minerality. Unfortunately it was a bit simplistic too, tasting somewhat one dimensional with golden apple and a little pear and quince. Still, a nice Champagne, just not a great one.
