  • This was fine. It did not wow, though I would not go so far as to call it "pedestrian" as Chris did. It certainly acted nothing like a BdB - I had to double check the label more than once. Tasted much more like a pinot noir heavy blend, with its weight and strength of fruit. A touch sweet, I thought, though not overly so. I wouldn't necessarily buy it again, though I have no hard feelings toward this bottle.

  • I liked it, others in the tasting group did not. It has a very slightly oxidative characteristic. The wine smelled better to me than it tasted. Notes of pear and apple, subtle red fruit, brioche on the bouquet. The mouthfeel was good, with aggressive bubbles but nice acidity and minerality. Unfortunately it was a bit simplistic too, tasting somewhat one dimensional with golden apple and a little pear and quince. Still, a nice Champagne, just not a great one.

  • Golden color...yeast, equal parts yellow and red fruit, subtle earth both in the nose and on the tongue. Well, well balanced! Another example of small grower-producer excellence.
