Tuesday, February 7, 2017 - This is a superb example of what is already a perennially reliable wine. Nose reminds me of a 15-yr-old Lynch-Bages I had a while back: smoky-sweet dark fruit, cedar, graphite, and a little ink. Follows through on the palate, with slightly grainy medium tannins, medium-minus acid, good length, no rough edges. Just a touch bitter on the back. Will keep a little while, though probably not enough acid to go too many years. Best about 30 minutes after opening; a little wobbly after 2 hours. Superb value at the $17 I got this for. 13.5%. 90+
