Friday, May 5, 2023 - First in the lineup of our wine group dinner. Paired with shellfish to start the meal. Slightly dark, pale, yellow color with tiny bubbles. A late harvest type of character and tropical fruits on the nose. Buttery, with wonderful notes of caramel and a hint of truffles. The wine should be drunk quickly, as it became flat after 30-45 minutes, at which point it transitioned to a glorious glass of white wine. A memorable experience.
