Saturday, September 17, 2016 - Clear, medium-ruby color. Lots of secondary complexity on the nose- plum & cherry fruit, with cracked pepper, rosemary & lavender, iron, blood sausage, and cardamom. Full and concentrated on the palate, further revealing intense dark berry and cherry fruit, sweet & savory spice notes, caraway, chalky minerality, and dried flowers. Brightens with air, with fleshy elegance on the mid-palate, balanced acidity, and fine grippy tannins. Solid length on the finish, dry and mouthwatering. Outstanding, well-structured, and showing beautifully now.
