With more air the fruit and the really most of the flavors recede and what's left is vanilla oak. I'm guessing the wine is starting to go into a shut down phase as the second half of the bottle was not really enjoyable and very atypical for a Ceritas Chardonnay.
I think holding remaining bottles makes sense.
