Thursday, April 10, 2014 - Popped and poured, then finished the next night. Aroma has plum and black cherry, along with a bit of earthiness and some baking spice. The taste is a pretty nice fruit forward showing of dark cherry, but there is a good deal of acidity on the mid-palate and its finish trends toward being a bit hot. This is much more balanced than a couple recent CA Pinots I had from Siduri & Sandler. I think this will settle down some over the next year based on how I've liked prior vintages. I'll be interested to see how the remaining 3 bottles develop.
