Monday, July 27, 2015 - This popular wine is over-ripe and very alcoholic at 15.8%. No trace of zinfandel flavors in the nose or mouth. It's very difficult to detect a varietal characteristic. The heavy alcohol quickly leaves the wine tasting candy sweet. People call it fruit bomb, but few flavors or anything come through this portish wine. [Tasted blind with two other Biale zinfandels.]
