Friday, September 1, 2023 - Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Wimps - Racine (La Trompette): Slight earthiness on the nose - will it get better or are we in for a stinky one? Happily the former - all integrates nicely, a bit more heft and structure than I was expecting, still deliciously drinkable but there’s also a proper 1er cru quality to it. Best bottle from this case I think, my red of the lunch and #2 wine.
