Sunday, October 11, 2020 - Decanted for 90 minutes. Dark and dense with black fruit, cola, a little thyme, a little char, and a moderate tannic backbone that is persistent but not unpleasant. There’s some room for this wine to evolve, but it’s devoid of acid which makes me wonder how long it will hold together. Good with food (Japanese Eggplant with roasted tomatoes and garlic bread tonight), but not much excitement as a solo.
