Sunday, October 4, 2020 - At age 8, this is ready to go, with all the pieces perfectly in place. Pleasant, if somewhat subdued, on the nose, opening to a full-bodied palate of ripe summer blackberries, macerated black cherries, and a dash of light roast coffee. Rounded tannins make a brief appearance in the finish. To me, this is at peak and I’d happily drink more over the next 2-3 years, if there were any in the cellar.
