Sunday, July 6, 2014 - I don't expect too much from Trader Joe's. I don't drink their three buck chuck and their price on wines available in other places is often not competitive. This wine for $13 is exceptionally drinkable. It is dark for a merlot, dry and with a smooth finish, mixed berry flavor. Whoever they bought it from (Mondavi? Stag's Leap?) knew what they were doing.
