Monday, August 11, 2014 - Incredibly good, and from an imperfect vintage, at least based on many other California results. Medium red/strawberry color in glass, pretty aromas of strawberry and cherry fruit. Palate opens with a blast of Bing cherry, opens further with notes of wild berries, some milk chocolate ganache, and just a touch of licorice. Finish is medium-long and delicious. Light enough on its feet, there is wonderful balance, with some silky tannins and an appropriate acidic streak, making this drink much like a Chateauneuf from a superior vintage. Loved it.
