Friday, March 22, 2024 - Tasted blind. This was opened several hours prior to serving. A rich yet floral nose with white flowers, lemon curd, hint of bees wax and loads of minerality. On the palate this has amazing concentration with riper yellow fruit, yet offered so much precision and focus. Great acidity and energy. An intense yet lively mouthfeel. Guesses were Puligny and maybe 2010 vintage. Once this was revealed it all made sense—Roulot always manages to retain energy and acidity even in riper vintages. Beautiful wine.
