Saturday, January 28, 2006 - Upon opening, the cork was wet throughout, so I was a bit worried... However, the nose sports a beautiful perfume, with plenty of rich, dark fruit, with lead pencil and old tobacco. The palate has strong acidity and plenty of fine, grippy tannin, and although there is some nice fruit to be found, it seems to lack a little oomph. Consumed over three hours, this was very enjoyable with braised duck legs.
