Thursday, January 21, 2016 - Well evolved in colour around the rim, still fairly dark core. Odd nose, quite vegetal and funky, but also showing notes of tobacco, earth, spices. On the palate well balanced at first, not much fruit left but still showing a firm backbone of tannins, well integrated acidity, slightly spicy, leathery. Good length. As the evening went on, the acidity stuck out more and more. 86-88
