Thursday, May 24, 2018 - Very deep ruby. A straightforward and uncomplicated nose offers ripe red and black cherries, warm loamy earth and violets alongside well-integrated notes of vanilla, toast and spice. Medium+ bodied and juicy but somewhat tight on the palate with a nearly high level of grippy tannins driving fresh black fruit and tarragon flavors. Perhaps this needs time to unwind but there doesn't seem to be a lot of stuffing here.
