Sunday, September 21, 2014 - Deep dark, bright garnet in color. Forward, attractive & youthful nose of focused & intense rich, ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blueberries and raspberries with sweet spice overtones, floral accents of roses & violets, cherry-cola, forest floor, loam, earthy, stoniness, hints of sous-bois, minerals and a gentle hint of vanilla. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of dense yet well balanced, youthful & vibrant, rich, ripe fruit flavors of sweet dark cherries, blackberries and tart cranberries with cola, spices, earthy, minerals and a touch of vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well with decanting and extended airing but will greatly benefit from additional aging.
