Saturday, November 3, 2012 - La Commanderie de Bordeaux à Vancouver - Gala Dinner (Fairmont Pacific Rim): Smoky sauv blanc nose with aromas papaya, lemon with hints of toasty oak. Palate was quite similar in profile to the nose with papaya, lemon, smoke and toasty oak with great acidity and a fresh and tart citrus finish. Smooth texture with fresh and lively mouthfeel. This paired fantastically with the scallop course. Excellent.
