Friday, January 26, 2024 - Not much change since my last review. Sangiovese dominant with some Cabernet Sauvignon, minimal cab franc. This is a delicious if not simple wine. Fruit forward with blackberry, cassis and ripe cherry. More red licorice and confectionery notes on the palate than I recall, light on the spice. I’ve tried coaxing more out of this wine by tasting it at varying periods over 5 hours of decant, but for me it plateaued at 2 hours. Drink.
