Sunday, March 23, 2014 - Insanely good. Round, focused, cigar, gravel, chalk, really fine and densely pack blue and black fruits, electric. The fruit reminded me of the Chesnaies Cuvee Prestige or the Guion Deux Monts, but with more structure and tobacco around it. Really great wine that I can't wait to put away.

7/27/2014 4:47:00 PM - I think the 10 is a little deeper and packed with material than other vintages of this that I've had. The 05 is probably the closest, and I suppose it's possible that all I was perceiving was it's relative youth. But, that was my impression. The 02, 09, and 10 were tasted alongside each other, the 07 and 08 a couple weeks after IIRC, and the 05 I tasted a couple years ago. The 09 had nicely ripe fruit and spiciness but didn't have the concentrated vinosity that I like so much in the 10. And then I would say the 08 is playful, vibrant, super asphalty/graphitey/funky, and the 07 more about supple elegance (and man it really is beautiful).
