Friday, December 22, 2023 - Friday evening in bonneville. The start of the Christmas holidays so we are all happy. Medium ruby color. Dried red cherries, smoke, ash, wet forest floor, vanilla, black pepper, nice and perfumed nose. Med acidity, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity, dry and green tannins, med finish. Nice red fruit, smoky mouth, touch of capsicum, mushroom, subtle black truffles, ash, minerality, very subtle, enjoyable. Very likeable and subtle! I know this house over a decade and these wines are always rustic and tannic over the first 7-8 years but once this is dissolved they become beautiful and very drinkable wines. Bought at the time directly from the domaine for ca 35 euros.
