Sunday, January 27, 2008 - This wine still has plenty of legs left in it. We started the night with an 86 Viex Telegraph CDP then we opened this bad boy. Wow so much fruit and still a few tannins. This is what I wish I could drink everyday.

The bottle was opened and allowed to breathe for about 2 hours before we poured it into a magnum decanter. Then the fireworks started.

3/15/2010 12:11:00 AM - I tried this vintage about 2 months ago, this was the year I was born and for some reason never recorded it. It was tasted next to a 78 that had lost its finesse. I do distinctly remember this wine still showing a fruit driven character, and an amazing flavor profile. The wine held up so well it was hard to believe it was 28 years old.
