Saturday, July 2, 2011 - PnP. Lovely, typical Mondavi Reserve. Dark opaque purple with just a bit of brick on the edge. Cassis, black cherry, earth and oak with hints of vanilla and spice. Full bodied with slightly rough tannins, good acidity and an almost chewy texture. Medium + length with a drying finish. Perhaps not quite as rich or complex as other Mondavi Reserves I have enjoyed, but still overall a delicious example of a Napa Cab. Lots of life remaining in this bottle.
