Wednesday, September 22, 2021 - My wine merchant came across a dozen bottles of this at auction!
On nose and palate: all the smoke, oak, quince preserve, star fruit and bitter orange notes, on a lean present, backbone of stony minerality you could want, in a wine designed for rich seafood.....faint notes of buttered almond and a darker, ring-gold colour signal maturity....great to revisit.
