Thursday, July 27, 2017 - This is why Prum is the greatest producer on the Mosel, hands down. Just about at peak maturity, the wine combines the brawn and ripeness of the vintage with a an incredible lightness and elegance. This wine was to a large extent all about texture. It somehow managed to juxtapose an unctuousness with an ethereal weightlessness that was remarkable. Nascent notes of tea, caramelized fruits, a streak of acid to maintain freshness. Don't think you could ask for more from a mature Mosel Riesling. Bravo.
