Saturday, June 25, 2011 - Respectable Simi Reserve showing some signs of age and decline with musky, herbal
scents and a dark red hue. An earthy framed Cabernet with notes of black licorice,
dried sage and red crushed flowers. Tannins are chewy, and have some rough edges
about them. The second night the tannins were a little more tame, with a finish that
was highlighted by suave leather and cigar box. Drink now into 2012 - 96 Cabernet
horizontal.
