Friday, March 21, 2008 - 2002 Jean Boillot & Fils Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Mouchère . This wine is done is a very ripe, opulent style and is excellent for what it is. No signs of oxidation the wine has toasty oak, baking spices and white fruit on the nose. The palate follows the nose with gobs of ripe, round fruit in the middle and a long finish. I would prefer more tension and spine as this wine drinks more like a Mersault to my palate. Still, a great wind for the money.
