Saturday, June 30, 2018 - It's Too Damn Hot to Drink Reds (Again) (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Pale straw color. Drank 1 glass over an hour and revisited a couple days later. I liked this the first day, finding it interesting and fairly complex though it was somewhat more heavy handed on the palate. The citrus profile and acidity had some bite, not overt grapefruit, but trending that way. Today this was so much nicer, there was a roundness to the palate that was much more even and controlled. Everything that was there in complexity seemed brighter and more expressive yet. The fruit profile is more complicated and nuanced with a mix of citrus and green orchard fruits with plenty of earthy saline infused mineral notes. Initially this was 90pts, and now feels closer to 92pts. This already has some age on it, and this would suggest there is an upside to some additional aging.
