Tuesday, February 10, 2015 - There are layers of fruit here. At first it is electric and very alive with raspberry that will really pop out at you. It is complimented by violet and rose petals. As the wine opened it became a bit more grounded adding blackberry and mushroom to the nose. Blackberry, blueberry and creme de casis. A touch of pepper fills the mouth as well and helps to create a really interesting wine. There is a small sense of youth and tartness throughout the wine right now which I expect will smooth out a little in the next few years.
