Saturday, April 7, 2018 - Lighter-medium golden color. Very high viscosity. Takes a little bit of swirling in the glass to open up. Notes of white peach, lemon, orange zest, some smoky minerality, also some beautiful salinity on the palate. It‘s full-bodied and dense (for Riesling), has excellent mid-palate persistence and super high but beautifully integrated acidity, as well as excellent length. Ends on a touch of saline minerality and tiny bit of bitterness adding even more complexity. A very complex, big but balanced and elegant Riesling from this excellent producer. Feels like this is still young and will age beautifully for many years. Fascinating wine! (94+)
