Sunday, September 27, 2015 - Appearance: Clear wine with a deep ruby colour.

Nose: Clean nose with a Medium+ intensity. This wine is developing.

Quite intense on the nose, particularly black fruits with fresh bramble and blackberries taking the lead. Oak is present but not overwhelming with cloves and vanilla peaking out. Quite a fresh nose but there are some traces of fresh leather, pipe tobacco and liquorice coming through.

Palate:
Dry
Medium+ acidity
Medium+ alcohol
Medium+ tannins
Medium intensity
Medium+ body
Medium finish

Fresh, clean and well structured on the palate. Black fruits are still dominant and smooth tannins and a lively acidity generate a pleasant mouthfeel.

Very good quality Tempranillo from La Rioja. Drinking well now but should have the structure to develop over the next 3-8 years. At 20 euros a bottle, solid QPR for this region.
