Friday, May 8, 2020 - A very good wine to be sure but left me a little bit wanting. Followed a great Leflaive Combettes 96 in comparison to which the Corton seemed a little thin. Precise, focused and balanced surely it was. Some left for day 2 initially came across as quite weak with only lemon and oak - however it gained more stature with air and temperature. Overall although I liked it - again - slightly underwhelmed by PYMC's Corton (a 2014 showed weak in a recent blind tasting). So seems to me based on the limited sample size that I prefer the Meursaults from this producer (a recently drunk Perrieres 10 was a rockstar).
