89 Points

Saturday, June 27, 2015 - Full disclosure: Have opened a few of these previously and not rated. Faint cranberry nose expanding more to sour cherry, medium body, cherry color. Immediately tart and astringent with good dose of acid. Took some time to open with moderate richness in the middle, average plus finish without unique identifiable flavors. This wine is strongly red fruit in an indistinct way. Past vintages have not taken this long to open and become enjoyable, not sure what this portends. My sense is there are better uses of my bucks for the price. I would prefer a couple of bottles of Vacqueras or Gigondas because I don't find the complexity I seek for drinking near term, don't believe worth keeping for long term improvement.
To be transparent, I do find desired complexity in many pinots, mostly RR and Santa Cruz, also many Oregon.
