Tuesday, August 31, 2021 - An incredible showing from the master, David Ramey, as we tasted this over two nights in a Syrah lineup comparing old world and new. Aromatically complex right out of the gate with smoked meat, black cherry fruit, and tobacco. It evolved to earthy and herbal notes on day two of mint chocolate, menthol, herbs, and black cherry. Bold and beautiful Syrah coming from a single vineyard on the Sonoma Coast. My second favorite Syrah in a lineup of 7 ranging from Hermitage, Cornas, Barossa Valley, Howell Mtn and Sonoma.
