Saturday, October 28, 2017 - Opened and decanted for about 45 mins. Followed this along over the course of a dinner that lasted a few hours.
Initially the wine was very “big” yet seemed closed both aromatically and on the palette. As time went by the wine opened nicely and displayed a pure fruit character with nicely integrated alcohol and moderate tannin. Overall this was the “weakest” showing I’ve seen from a Greer (I’ve had many) however it was still enjoyable. Just not as good as other vintages I’ve had. (07,08,09,10,11,12)
93 points for me.
