Friday, July 3, 2015 - Picked this up for a trip back in time to the types of wines I tried when first learning about wine. So much for nostalgia. Solid mass-market wine, but that's about it. Earthy tobacco, tar and black currant. Heavy, med/low acid palate. Not ponderous, but lacking clarity. The best thing going for this is that it hasn't overly spoofed oak and candied fruit to cover for the green characteristics.
