Thursday, December 14, 2006 - Pulled the cork and let it sit about an hour to an hour and a half in the bottle before pouring. Dense and inky purple in the glass. The Lafon-Rochet had a clearly smoky nose with hints of graphite and lots of svelte red fruit aromas. On the tongue this has lots ot blackberry and sexy dark cherry flavors, with more smoke and asian spice. Tannins were fairly smoothe. Well-balanced and absolutely open for business.
