Wednesday, December 24, 2014 - Medium, bright, clear ruby red in color with clearing at the edges. Full, forward, attractive & complex nose of mature & developed, red cherries, figs, plums & raspberries with spice & floral notes, orange rind, some cocoa, dried herbs, dark molasses, earthy, nutty, leather, cedar and a bit of heat (Alc. @ 20.7%). Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of well balanced, mature & developed, silky smooth textured & elegant, complex, ripe fruit flavors of dried cherries, raspberries, figs, raisins & plums with spices, earthy, minerals and a touch of vanilla. Long lingering velvety finish with a bit of heat. Drinks quite well at present and appears to at its apogee of development although it should hold at this plateau for longer.
