Saturday, January 27, 2024 - Reviewed my first bottle of this wine back in June 2021. Wasn’t particularly impressed, but didn’t score it as I suspected bottle was off. Turned out to be true as this bottle showed way better. Very nice wine. Nose has some roses, some dark fruit, inviting. Palate is rich and complex. At first sip there are some dark red fruit together with grippy tannins. What stands out is the finish, long, with a nice mix of licorice and violet, together with hints of black and red currant. As other writes, benefits from a proper decant, while I found an hour to be sufficient.
