10/16/2015 5:14:00 PM - Wanted very much to like it. I remember Michael Black Vineyard, from when Paul Hobbs produced his Merlot there; it was actually my intro wine to Paul Hobbs. He stopped producing from Michael Black Vineyard; I heard Coho now has the contract and bought three bottles. For my taste, this Merlot is too light and not well balanced. Perhaps unfair to compare to my memory of the Hobbs wine, but didn't have the depth and substance I like in a Napa wine--but I'm one of those unapologetic fruit forward dudes.
